Scholarship Donations
The Nu Delta Alumni Association has three ways to contribute tax-deductible donations for the betterment of the Chapter's scholastics:
1.) College of Excellence (COE)
The COE is an annual event, sponsored by the Chi Phi Educational Trust, to
sharpen the undergraduates' leadership skills. This national convention attracts
over 250 undergraduates, 40 alumni faculty members, the Grand Council and Board
Members of the Educational Trust. Several respected guest speakers give
motivational speeches in the areas of leadership, membership recruitment,
hazing, sex education and personal life improvement. The alumni faculty members
work with smaller groups of undergraduates on specified topics within the
multiple track program.
The Alumni Association attempts to sponsor four Nu Delta undergraduates each year at a cost of $1,000. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to this cause, please write your check out to "Chi Phi Educational Trust" and send it to Ron Frank.
2.) Study Room Construction
The Alumni Association is raising funds for a study room to be constructed at
the house on Pensacola Street prior to the start of the Spring '97 Semester.
This room will have two personal computer stations and several desks and chairs
for the purpose of studying. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation
to this cause, please write your check out to "Chi Phi Educational
Trust" and send it to Ron Frank. The Chi Phi Educational Trust will match
up to $2,000 collected by the Alumni Association for this purpose.
3.) Incoming Freshman Scholarship
The Alumni Association is sponsoring a scholarship for one incoming freshman
based on their SAT scores, high school GPA, and community achievements. The
intent is better the scholastics of the Chapter by giving bids to the type of
young men we would like to bring into to fold of our brotherhood. The amount of
the scholarship will vary year-to-year based on the donations made by our
alumni. This year we are hoping to raise $500. This is not a tax-deductible
contribution. If you would like to make a donation to this cause, please write
your check out to "Chi Phi Alumni Association" and send it to Ron
Frank.
